The Classic Client is, as its name suggests, the original client for Ultima Online gameplay. It is less versatile than the newer Enhanced Client, but is well liked and well used by a considerable number of players.
When logging into Ultima Online using the Classic Client the game play window will look similar to the image below:
Most of the game functions needed to play effectively are accessed through two gumps, the menu bar, pictured at the top left above the gameplay window, and the paper doll. Also visible in the image are the overhead radar map, the racial abilities book, the character’s status bar, the item properties button and the character’s back pack.
