NLS Pub 2 Hotfixes
Forsaken Bloodline Dungeon Adjustments
- Balance tuning has been made to the following bosses:
- Dreadguards
- Harvester
- Added Frenzied Whirlwind attack
- Increased potency of Poisoning
- Slithering Maw
- Greatly increased damage threshold before triggering their Stalk attack
- Added Essence of Disease attack
- Blizzard Elemental
- Increased the threshold before players receive the Permafrost debuff from the Blizzard Attack
- Reduced the duration of the Permafrost stun
- Reduced the damage of the Blizzard attack when it refreshes on players
- Arkanis the Technomancer
- Arkanis will now be much more active in movement and spell casting
- Increased the frequency that his adds can spawn
- Overseer Sanguis
- Will now leap to targets and cause a knockback
- Increased the frequency that his adds can spawn
- Quartermaster Dorinakka
- Temperament adjusted; now far less chatty
- Summoned adds are now correctly spawned as Ensorcelled Armor
- Gristlemaw Devourer
- Sous Chef health increased
- Now belches a poisonous breath to those in proximity
- Shadow General Kael
- Now calls upon the Ethereal Void to rain destruction around him
- Kraggor the Red-Footed Reaver
- Can no longer have resistances debuffed with certain special attacks
- Greatly increased the damage of Bagballs thrown back at him
- Miedys the Goldsmith
- Occasionally throws gold into the air which rains down upon players
- Aurum the Gilded
- Golden armor enchanted by the Goldsmith causes periodic reactive fire damage to players in range
- Oryh’k the Unseen Hunger
- Expanded magic spell arsenal
- Harvester
- Exarchs
- Vor’lthar the Void Maw
- Increased Chomp attack damage
- Targets being chomped now spit out further and cause knockback
- Removed Gaze of Despair debuff in transformation phase
- Gnarled Veilkeeper
- Reduced damage caused by stepping on Brambles
- Brambles now last 30 seconds instead of 60
- Riftborn Monstrosity
- Can no longer have resistances debuffed with certain special attacks
- Sheds a Void Clone at ~66% and ~33% health, which mimic abilities
- Both Void Clones must be killed before Monstrosity can die
- Now leaps to random targets and causes knockback
- All Exarchs can now be hit in melee range at a 2-tile range
- Vor’lthar the Void Maw
- Dreadguards
- The general light level in the dungeon has been increased
- Generic corpse names for bosses are now more specific or marked as “vile” corpses
- Tortured Dragons and Frost Drakes will no longer disappear after taming
- Chainmail and Ringmail armor sets added to the dungeon loot table
- The reset timer for the dungeon has been extended to a 2-hour minimum
- Developer’s Note: Extending the reset timer will give players more time between dungeon resets for breaks or other content.
- A global broadcast will now announce when the dungeon reset occurs
Vesper Antiquity Hunt
- Museum Archival Book added to the Reward Vendor
- Stores up to 500 completed Museum Archival Forms
- Forms are deleted once added to the book
- Ideal for museum floor storage management
- Leaderboard gump extended to display very long names correctly
- Your current ranking now shown at the bottom of the leaderboard gump
- Leaderboards now show the top 15 results
Misc Changes & Bugfixes
- Draalwyrms will now spawn in their correct hues; incorrectly hued Draalwyrms will reset to the proper hue
- Quivers can now be dyed with store dyes
- Crimson Dragon Fire Fields will now despawn faster after its defeat
- Increased chance to spawn Ossidrial from Strong Dragon types:
- Greater Dragons
- Frost Dragons
- Shadow Wyrms
- Ancient Wyrms
- Emberwing
- Rune Corruption’s resist debuff effectiveness against mobs reduced from 50% to 25%
- New cloaks from the Forsaken Bloodline dungeon can now be repaired with Tailoring
- The Riftbreaker Title Reward can now be properly claimed and applied
Legacy Heirlooms
- Discover long-lost family heirlooms that are tied directly to your family name (surname)
- 26 unique heirlooms to discover
- Heirlooms are true 1-of-1 items and can be acquired by any character on your account, however each heirloom can only be acquired once
- Heirlooms can be acquired from Treasure Hunting, Legendary Foes, and within Blackthorn’s Dungeon
Vesper Antiquity Hunt
- The Vesper Museum has opened its doors to adventurers, treasure hunters, and would-be archaeologists
- Discover antiquities from hunting monsters in dungeons, digging up treasure chests, or battling legendary foes
- Antiquities can be identified by acquiring a Museum Archival Form from the Cataloger at the Vesper Museum
- Scribes can also craft Museum Archival Forms
- Present your completed Archival Form to the Cataloger and earn special recognition for being the first to discover a unique antiquity, and have your discovery recorded in the Museum Antiquity Ledger
- Choose to keep your discovery for your personal collection, or donate your discovered antiquity to the Vesper Museum for a chance to have it put on display for all to see in the Museum display area
- The museum display area updates daily and will randomly display donated antiquities, along with information about the player that discovered them
- Earn Archaeologist Tokens for each unique discovery you record, as well as each antiquity you donate to the museum
- Spend your Archaeologist Tokens at the Museum Trader for unique rewards
- Track your contributions and discoveries against other players and guilds on the Vesper Museum Top Donors Leaderboard
New Tamable: Draalwyrm
- Draalwyrms are a new special pet that requires both Dragon Knowledge and a Lure
- Draalwyrm lures can be acquired from the Vesper Museum Trader
- Draalwyrms can spawn in 8 different colors – utilize a Totem of Chromatic Fortune for an increased chance at rare colors!
- Draalwyrms can be found in 3 different locations in The Lost Lands
Forsaken Bloodline Event
- Investigate rumors spreading across Britannia of a mysterious figure making bold claims of a forsaken bloodline.
- Speak to an Arcane Enforcer at one of the following locations to begin the short narrative:
- The Sorcerer’s Delight in Britain
- Outside Encyclopedia Magicka in Trinsic
- Outside Herbal Splendor in Moonglow
- Outside Mystic Treasures in Skara Brae
- Speak to an Arcane Enforcer at one of the following locations to begin the short narrative:
- Follow the quest objectives to discover the entrance to a new dungeon
- Work together with the entire shard to decipher the cryptic clues to unlocking the dungeon
- Once unlocked, gain access to 20 new boss encounters, ranging from mini-bosses to Legendary Foes
- Earn exclusive rewards from each boss
- Earn Forsaken Bloodline Coins that can be spent for rewards at the Artifact Trader within the dungeon
- Complete quest objectives within the dungeon to earn even more currency to spend at the Artifact Trader
Forsaken Bloodline Dungeon
- This dungeon features a new progression system that allows players to make meaningful progress in clearing the dungeon
- The dungeon is divided into 4 wings:
- The Occultist Wing
- The Military Wing
- The Treasury Wing
- The Convergence Wing
- The Convergence Wing can only be reached once all 3 prior wings have been cleared of bosses
- Bosses do not respawn once defeated, until the entire dungeon has been cleared
- The dungeon does not reset after server maintenance, its state will persist until fully cleared
- “Fodder Mobs” (non-boss mobs) within the dungeon will respawn until their associated boss mob is defeated, at which point they will no longer respawn
- Each boss has different mechanics that you will need to overcome in order to defeat them
Rewards
- Each Boss has a unique drop that can only be obtained from that boss
- Each Boss also has a shared loot table, allowing a variety of items to be acquired from all bosses
- A subset of these rewards are available on the Forsaken Bloodline Artifact Trader
- Rewards include:
- Armor Sets
- Weapons
- Accessory Items
- Decorations
- Items with special effects
- Vanity Pets
- Pet Lures
- Titles
New Tamable: Ossidrial
- Ossidrial is a new unique pet that requires Undead Knowledge and can only be summoned with a special Boneflayer Elixir
- Boneflayer Elixir can be purchased from the Forsaken Bloodline Artifact Trader 1 bottle at a time
- The Boneflayer Elixir recipe can be obtained from the Harvester boss, which allows Alchemists to craft the elixir
- Upon using the Boneflayer Elixir on the corpse of a dragon, there is a chance to summon Ossidrial, who can then be tamed by the player that used the Elixir
- The more difficult the dragon, the higher the chance to summon Ossidrial
New Tamable: Shadowmane
- Shadowmane is a new unique pet that requires Nightmare knowledge and a special pet lure
- The special pet lure, Shadow Reaver Bridle, can be obtained from the Forsaken Bloodline Artifact Trader or as a drop from the boss, Shadow General Kael
- Upon Shadow General Kael’s defeat, the general will fall off his mount and Shadowmane will be tamable
Changes
- You can now view other players’ portraits via context menu
- You can now view other players’ Legacy Sash awards via context menu (sash must be equipped)
- You can now alter any artifact sash into one displaying your Legacy Sash awards by using the Legacy Embroidery Kit found in Tailoring
Bugfixes
- Goreguard is now repairable
- Assassin Spikes are now repairable
- Undertaker’s Staff will now reset its durability
- Narrative complete crafters can access the skill trainer and job board again
- Dragon Breath will no longer cause creatures enamored by a special pet lure to break free
- Resolved issue where item identification would sometimes not work
- Players and pets should no longer get stuck in certain areas of the Manticore encounter after getting knocked back
- Players should correctly be able to enhance all max Congiarium level items
- Web Woven Quiver and Feathered Mane mask should now be dyeable with leather dye tubs
- Fixed issue where repair crate would dump items to the ground after using it
- Plain Hair Dye should now function properly and give the option to dye Hair/Beard/Both
