You have to be hiding when you start to use the skill. The more armor you are wearing, the harder it is to use Stealth. If you run, you become unhidden. Publish – February 2, 1999 The following was released as the February 2nd Publish on February 2, 1999. Mining Eight new varieties of minerals can now be found. Each variety offers a unique color. The different colors can only be found by miners of specific skill levels–only Grandmasters or near Grandmasters can find the rarest mineral, valorite. Once a vein is located, it will always be at that location from then on. (It behooves miners to conceal this location!) Instead, it will be dependent on line-of-sight to your attackers, and distance from them. The lower your Hiding skill, the farther away you need to get. A serial number is also on the ticket. Someone on the shard will also have the ticket with the same serial number. Finding the person with the other half of the ticket with the matching serial number will allow access to the Christmas gifts. Housing Update Phase 3 Dec 21 1998 1:48PM HOUSING Excess houses are deleted. All unclaimed houses are deleted when the server comes up. All houses with claim ties are deleted. Houses with ties that are both the same person are not deleted. The no build period ends. Vendors return to normal. You can place vendors again. They can only be placed in public houses.
