A Ritual performed by the Bardic Collegium at the Shrine of Compassion has unleashed a surge of uncontrolled flame across Sosaria. Many creatures have become Kindlehart Infused and glowing Kindlehart Shards now appear throughout the land. To restore balance, adventurers are asked to gather this scattered power and return it to the Bardic Collegium at the Britain Conservatory.
You will need a Flame Resonator, crafted by a tinker to extract flame from shards and a Radiant Vessel, crafted by a master glassblower, to safely store the flame you collect, these must be in your main backpack and not in a sub-container. Once equipped with these items, venture forth and:
- Defeat Kindlehart Infused creatures to claim their Kindlehart Flame. Any creature has a chance to spawn as Kindlehart Infused, identified by a special tooltip and visual effect
- Most Boss-level mobs will always spawn as Kindlehart Infused and provide extra Kindlehart Flame, splitting their stored essence between the top attackers, with stronger creatures having more essence..
- Players will need Radiant Vessels to collect Kindlehart Flame, which can be crafted by a Glassblower with Sand and Gold Dust
- Search the world for Kindlehart Shards to recover wayward Kindlehart Flame. You will need to acquire a Flame Resonator, crafted by a Tinker, to extract the essence in this manner.
- Bards can attempt to extract Kindlehart Flame from creatures by using the Peacemaking skill directly on them. If the bard is skilled enough, the Kindlehart Flame will be removed from the creature without harming it. The more skillful the bard is, the stronger the creature they can calm with this method. Only weaker creatures are susceptible to this technique. As a rough guide, kindlehart essence in testing was collected from Arctic Ogre Lord, Daemon, Lich, White Wrym, Effreet, but the attempt was shrugged off by Blood Elemental, Poison Elemental, Molten Earth Elemental, Balron, Dragon. This was using a 4x 120 bard using no skill jewelry
Return filled vessels to the Bardic Collegium in Britain and double click the Essence Collector to hand in your vessel and receive kindelhart coins for your efforts as well as an amount of Compassion and Sacrifice based on how full the Radiant Vessel is. A totally full vessel is worth 10,000 coins.
Radiant Vessels can only hold so much Kindlehart Flame before they cannot absorb any more. Radiant Vessels will change color and tooltip descriptions based on how full they are. These descriptions are:
- Empty and cold
- Contains a flickering flame (hue id 1192)
- Contains a kindled flame (hue id 1256)
- Contains a glowing flame (hue id 1258)
- Contains a searing flame (hue id 1161)
- Brimming with the flame of Kindlehart (hue id 2736)
For a prolonged adventure, carry multiples of these items.
Your actions will help steady the Shrine of Compassion and restore home to Sosaria during the Season of Kindlehart, which occurs each Terrestrial February.
Every time Kindlehart Flame is collected at the Conservatory, the warmth level of Sosaria increases. When a critical level is reached, a Kindlehart Tempest will spawn in the world. This occurrence is subject to a 30 minute cool down. Defeat the Tempest for unique rewards! The collector’s color changes in the same sequence as that of the vessels as it builds towards critical.
