In the mountains north of Sacrifice shrine in Ilsh, behind the ratmen village, is found the entrance to the ratmen mine (41.18’N 20,36’W 1030, 1154). The first chamber of this excavation is a maze of levels, ladders and mining equipment, populated by ratmen, a ratman mage and earth elementals. Precious emeralds and diamonds in the walls show one reason for the mine.
A further tunnel leads deeper into the mountain but here evidence of mining activities is absent, as are the ratmen. Flames shoot up from the crumbling floor and lava lizards roam around steaming lava pools. Far to the rear of this second cavern bone knights and skeletal drake aid a skeletal dragon to guard his treasure hoard.
