In the wake of the Draconic Awakening, Umbrascale nests remain buried deep within the earth, spawning corrupted progeny, While Broodmothers rise up to become the new Matriarch. Kaelus the Riftwarden has set up a permanent headquarters in Trinsic to monitor the Matriarch’s incursions and to safely dispose of the eggs, however a curio collector has also established himself in the base and his assistant offers items in trade for the eggs, value dependent on the condition of the egg. The location of the base can be seen in the map below.
The Riftwarden tracks the Matriarch’s progression on a notice board on the front wall of the building and the number of nests burned, and eggs turned in on the two notice boards behind his desk.
Hunters may receive a temporary map to the location of the Umbrascale Matriarch when she spawns.

Dragon nest maps are appearing in many new locations,
- On the corpse of any Dragon mob
- In the cargo hold of High Seas ships
- In fished up MIB/SOS containers
Dragon nests of all sizes may contain:
- umbrascales, a resource used in crafting wyrmscale armor.
- collectible sets of Wyrmscale Cultist armor in 3 different hues
A new level of dragon nest has been discovered. The super massive dragon nest. These nests will test even the most capable adventurers. Designed to be done with a group, these extremely dangerous dragon nests offer a greater challenge for a greater reward. Each Super Massive Dragon Nest will draw the ire of a Broodmother, who will descend upon the nest to defend it. Defeat the Broodmother for a chance to receive special items directly on her corpse:
