Treasures of the Unhallowed

Overview

Moved by faith, a band of pilgrims broke from the road to the shrines and descended into the deepest dark of Sosaria, intent on carrying the Virtues to the lost souls who dwell there. Far below, they found a tomb sealed and graven with warnings older than the shrines themselves. Believing the souls within were waiting to be freed, they broke the seal. What waited inside did not wish to be saved.

Now the Unhallowed are rising. From every dark place beneath Britannia the dead are climbing toward the living world, and the dungeons of the realm have fallen to their numbers. Brave souls must descend and drive the Unhallowed back before they reach the open air!

Unhallowed Invasions

Live on production shards from publish day to February 1, 2027

• Random dungeons are overrun by the Unhallowed:
  • Fire (Felucca & Trammel)
  • Deceit (Felucca & Trammel)
  • Terathan Keep (Felucca & Trammel)
  • Destard (Felucca & Trammel)
  • Rock (Ilshenar)
  • Blood (Ilshenar)
  • Ankh (Ilshenar)
• One Ilshenar dungeon and one Felucca/Trammel dungeon are invaded at the same time
• Paragon monsters can drop a new Chest of the Unhallowed to their corpse
  • Chests come in random colors, including the event color
  • Chests will contain the name of the player that did the most damage to the paragon
• Town Criers will announce which dungeons are currently under invasion.
• Healers are stationed outside each event dungeon (except in Felucca).
• Felucca dungeons have their Champion Spawn replaced with the new Unhallowed Champion Spawn.
  • Defeat The Unhallowed One to scatter artifacts across the ground.
• Earn Artifacts “of the Unhallowed” by defeating dungeon creatures.
  • Artifacts in Felucca will be cursed, but drop at an increased rate
• Use the Potion of Glorious Fortune to increase artifact drop changes
• Turn in Artifacts to Keeper Mirelle at the Chamber of Virtue in Britain to claim new rewards.

Hidden Chests

• Use Detect Hidden to locate and reveal chests throughout the dungeons invaded by the Unhallowed.
• Chests may reward gold, artifacts, candles, lore pages, ritual scrolls, gems, and supplies.
• Chests have a rare chance to contain new stealables:
  • Rare: Virtue Banners, Unhallowed Pentagram, Unhallowed Ritual Dagger
  • Uber Rare: Dragon Skull
• Luck increases your odds of finding rare stealables, with an additional bonus in Felucca.

The Necromantic Ritual

• Gather the Ritual Components, seek out the hidden ritual site, and perform the ritual to raise an Unhallowed Dragon.
  • Pet statuette, requires Grandmaster Animal Taming to claim.
  • Comes in multiple hues, with a rare chance for a unique hue.
  • Can be converted to an Ethereal with the Orb of Ethereal Transcendence
• The Necromantic Ritual will be unavailable on Test Center 1

Krampus

As the year dies and the nights grow longest, Krampus and his wretched kin come down out of the wild places to pillage the roads beyond the safety of the town walls. Commander Starkwell has raised a militia to drive the beast back, and those who answer the call will be rewarded for their courage.

• Krampus will once again be terrorizing Britannian trade routes from December 1st, 2026 to December 31st, 2026
• When Krampus is defeated, Krampus’s Treasure Sack appears near his corpse and can be looted by his top attackers to receive:
  • Randomly Generated Loot Items
  • Krampus’ Naughty Bag (1 attacker will randomly receive this item)
  • Chains of Krampus (1 attacker will randomly receive this item)
• Top attackers have a chance to receive Krampus’ Coin Purse, containing:
  • Gold and gems
  • Krampus Currency – coal and bundles of switches
    • Luck increases your odds of more valuable currency.
  • A chance at a trinket, including new Krampus Star hues, Christmas Tree and Reindeer Pillows, and three Snow-Covered Lampposts
  • A rare chance at the new Wintertide Steed mount
    • Requires Grandmaster Animal Taming to claim.
    • Can be converted to an Ethereal with the Orb of Ethereal Transcendence
    • Players are only eligible to receive the Winteride Steed once per day per character, however, the drop chance has been significantly increased
• Completing Krampus trade orders improves your odds of receiving Krampus’ Coin Purse.
