Gruuthar of the Northern Mountains challenged King Blackthorn to a game of chess. Unsurprisingly, Gruuthar lost. Being a notoriously sore loser, he vowed revenge-  or at least, a rematch.

At this time, the Britannia postal system was in chaos, as Minax had taken over the delivery routes. So, Gruuthar’s request for a rematch never reached the king.

Now, he sulks up and down the mountains, vowing revenge…
