Due to the events in Moonglow and the issue of the Shrine of Honesty being corrupted, the Mages of Moonglow were shocked by this situation. While there was no way to explain this turn of events, the Archmages were aware of Mallory the Amnesiac, so they suspected him as the main culprit behind this crisis. Even Mallory himself was blaming himself, wondering if this whole ordeal had happened because of him. Master Mage Enaril comforted him by saying he was not the one who caused it, yet she also believed that while he might not have done it intentionally, he could still be connected to it.

Witnessing Mallory suffer from severe depression through this series of events, Agent Daria decided to look for something that might offer him at least a bit of comfort. While she still considered him a suspicious and untrustworthy person, she did not want to blame him either, as her own past had made her all too familiar with being blamed for things she hadn’t intended. Then, thinking it might be a good idea to show him Britannia’s technology—something that could stand as close a comparison as possible to the “science” he was accustomed to—she called him over.
