Once each year, the influence of an infernal being called Ashmedai reaches toward Britannia as the boundary separating the mortal world from the Underworld weakens.

His herald, The Echo of Ashmedai, manifests within Umbra seeking an artifact necessary for an unknown ritual: the bloodied skull of a forgotten Feluccan warlord.

The Echo leads Britannia’s adventurers into Felucca, where they discover the Warlord’s grave and perform an enchantment to awaken him. The ritual also awakens the dead soldiers sworn to guard his resting place.

After surviving their assault, the adventurers encounter the Bloodied Warlord himself. Rather than immediately attacking, the ancient warrior offers a test of knowledge. If the adventurers correctly answer his Felucca riddle, he willingly relinquishes his skull. If they fail, they must forge their desire through combat.

Either path ends with the Echo acquiring the Skull of the Red Warlord, completing the first requirement for a ritual that will summon Ashmedai’s personal guardian in Part II.
