Job Boards can be found in the three main narrative cities of Moonglow, Trinsic and Skara Brae. Job Boards are the main way players on the Narrative lines raise their skills by completing Town Objectives. Upon completing Job Board quests, Objective Reward Skills are earned and can be spent at the skill trainer that stands next to each Job Board.
In Moonglow there are three Job Boards:
- Scholars Cut, located toward the north gate of Moonglow
- The Mighty Axe, located toward the west gate of Moonglow
- The Lycaeum, located toward the north side by the fountain
In Trinsic there are four Job Boards:
- Adventurer’s Clothing, located toward the southeast of Trinsic
- Honorable Arms, located toward the center of Trinsic
- Warrior’s Barracks, located toward the northeast of Trinsic
- Shining Path Armory, located toward the north of Trinsic
In Skara Brae there are two Job Boards:
- Ranger’s Guild, located toward the northwest of Skara Brae
- Builders’ Delight, located toward the northeast of Skara Brae
Town Objectives
For warriors, rangers and mages these consist of ‘kill’, ‘defend’ or ‘destroy’ tasks. The creatures you are asked to kill or defend against are not always suitable for your skill level, it may be necessary to retreat and fail an objective when this happens. Be sure to clear the failed quest from your Quest Objectives list.
For crafters the job boards ask you to fill BODs, obtained from the NPC guildmaster, or search for salvageable equipment. To search for equipment you will need a pick or shovel, dig in the mounds you will find in the named area until a weapon or item of armor appears, double click it to register the find. The item does not need to match exactly the item displayed on the job board.
There is a 5 minute delay before you can re-take a particular job.
Gaining Skills
On completion of your task approach any job board and speak to the skill trainer standing beside it to allow you to allocate the skill points you have gained.
The points you can allocate are for your relevant skills. Available points are 40 or 4.0. One option is to distribute them as shown, but you can distribute them as you see fit. If you find you have skill points but can’t apply them, you have completed your tasks for that section and need to return to your narrative guild master to follow the next part of your narrative.
Mages may choose to complete inscription BODs, while these are not required for the job board and do not contribute towards skill gain they are one route through which it is possible to obtain level 8 spell scrolls and a reagent belt which can hold 10 of each reagent that are not lost at death. You must wear this belt so that the reagents are there when you need them. If the belt is kept in the back pack, or if you run out of reagents in your main pack, cast spells will use the contents! Level 8 spells can not be crafted but can drop as loot from Legendary Foes.
Complete jobs from the job board until you reach the next level of skill, then return your narrative guild master to begin the next part of your narrative.
