What is New Legacy?
New Legacy is a seasonal shard for Ultima Online, built for players who’ve never set foot in Britannia, and for the veterans who never really left. Same world. Rewritten rules. Your name carved into it.
Every system on New Legacy has been rethought from the ground up, same soul as the Britannia you remember, but a more welcoming experience for new, returning and existing players alike. From engaging narrative questlines to epic open-world boss fights, there’s something for everyone.

What’s Waiting for You on New Legacy
- Accelerated Skill Gain – Skill gain has been accelerated through narrative questlines, allowing you to jump into New Legacy quickly at any time throughout the season without feeling left behind.
- Guilds That Level Up – Guilds earn power and prestige through collective guild achievements, unlocking guild housing, shared resource banks and more throughout the season.
- Player Housing Areas – Claim a home of your own, or a larger hall built for your guild. Talk to the Housing Advisor in your local town to earn the right to place a house in the local housing areas.
- Living Events – Participare in global events that move the season’s story forward throughout the season and earn rewards entirely unique to New Legacy.
- Exclusive Treasures – Acquire rare Antiquities and Legacy Heirlooms through combat, treasure hunting and more that exist only within this season and on the New Legacy shard.
- Unique Tameables – Find and tame rare creatures unique to New Legacy with a chance at rare-colored variations unique to this season.
- Open-World PvP – An updated Vice vs Virtue framework brings faction warfare back to the frontier through open-world PvP, champion spawns and dungeon outposts.
Two Ways to Become Someone
From the moment you step off the boat at Ocllo, New Legacy hands you a road and lets you decide how closely you follow it. Will you head to the town of Ocllo and talk to the townsfolk or will you board the ship and head to the frontlines?
The Narrative Path
Guided quest chains take crafters, mages, warriors, and rangers from their first swing of a hammer to a fully-formed adventurer with gold, gear, and skill gain along the way.

The Divergent Path
Skip the questline. Head for the frontlines, fight what stands in your way, and let combat itself accelerate your skills mixing and matching however you see fit.

The Quest Journal
Your quest objectives are listed in the quest journal, not sure where to go to complete it?
Clicking on the quest type on the left will give some guidance, watch your game journal to see them, an example of the type of guidance would be “Your current objective is a fair distance to the west.”
Clicking on the button on the far right will open up the objective details, giving a full description of the quest together with the rewards you can expect for completing it.
Clicking on the status button on the right such as Collect will collect the reward for the quest and remove it from the list if the quest has been completed.
A World With a Beginning and an End
Every season writes its own ending.
New Legacy isn’t a shard that runs forever unchanged. Each season builds to a climax, and what you’ve earned comes with you when it’s over.
