The king would not awaken. It was no use. The Royal mages had tried all their magic. The Royal housekeeper had “accidentally” tipped a jug of cold water over the royal visage.  The Royal puppy had licked the water up. Nothing could rouse Blackthorn from his slumber.

“There is nothing for it. We must enter his dreams!” declared the head mage.

“Nonsense. You just want to try out your new dream portal!” scoffed the head scribe. “Still,  I have no better ideas. Just make sure that puppy doesn’t go through – who knows what havoc such a beast would cause in there!”
