Fishing

Where to Start Choosing Your Skills Obviously you will need fishing skill, start your character with 50 skill, or if you’re adapting an existing character buy it as high as you can from the fishing guildmaster. Next you will need some way to combat the sea serpents you’re likely to encounter once you get off shore. Magery is a good option, but you could also consider mysticism, archery or, if your character is a gargoyle, throwing. Each of these will need some ‘support’ skills, meditation and evaluate intelligence for magery, focus or imbuing for mysticism, tactics and anatomy, maybe also […]

Cooking

Magical Fish Pies To become a chef, simply cook! For many of the preparations you need to be near a heat source, this is most often an oven, but in some instances, such as barbeque, a camp fire or forge is sufficient. In the table, Cooking Menu, below where the proximity resource is listed as ‘flame’ any suitable heat source can be used. All such heat sources are: Campfire Fireplace Forge Heating stand Oven You will need tools: a rolling pin is the easiest to make if your character has no tinkering skill (requires 5 boards) a skillet, next easiest […]

Lumberjacking

There was a time when all there was to a lumberjack’s life was chopping logs for carpenters to make furniture and bowyers to make their bows and arrows. Not any more! All kinds of things can be found hiding in Britannia’s trees. The first thing to think about is your character’s attributes. Set strength as high as you can, logs are heavy. Dexterity for stamina and finally a little intelligence. A pack horse or llama is useful too, or better, a giant beetle. It matters little whether you chose an axe or a hatchet for your task; as long as […]

Blacksmithing

The easiest way is to choose the pre-made Blacksmith template when you make a new character. This gives you a useful set of skills and stats to begin with. Suggested skills are: Blacksmithy; obviously Arms Lore; gives bonuses to exceptionally made items in addition to the normal Exceptional Bonus; Mining; needed for recycling/salvaging items you don’t want, as well as mining the raw material you will craft […]

Your basket will be the color of the plant selected. Use the context menu on your clippers and choose the ‘set to cut reeds’ […]
