We are pleased to announce that UO.com will be getting an upgrade!  This upgrade will begin next week on August 25th, 2025.  We expect the upgrade & migration to last up to 1 week with intermittent downtime.  During that time please see our other social media outlets, linked below, for game updates:

New Legacy Publish 3

Greetings,

We anticipate New Legacy Publish 3 will be going live next week.  New Legacy Publish 3 will include the The Shattering and so we want to share with you some important updates related to this publish,

New Legacy Publish 3 – Important Dates

August 26th, 2025

  • New Legacy Publish 3 goes live.
  • Prologue quest for the Fractured Veil event can be completed.

September 2nd, 2025

  • The world begins to shatter.
  • The Fractured Veil event begins.
  • Creation of NEW CHARACTERS will be DISABLED.
  • Any pre-existing characters will still be playable.

IF YOU INTEND TO EXPERIENCE THE NEW LEGACY SHARD DURING THE SHATTERING, MAKE SURE YOU CREATE YOUR CHARACTERS PRIOR TO THIS DATE.

October 14th, 2025

  • The Fractured Veil event ends.
  • The Shattering concludes.
  • Character Transfers to Production Shards are ENABLED.
  • New Legacy Shards will enter “Lite-Mode”.
  • Housing will be DISABLED and all existing houses will begin to COLLAPSE (IDOC).
  • Character Transfer maintenance will happen prior to this date – this will result in the Character Transfer process being down game wide for a period of time.  We will update when this process begins before the Oct. 14 start.

Lite-Mode (October 14th, 2025 until Season 2)

  • This mode will persist at the conclusion of The Shattering until New Legacy Season 2 begins.
  • Creation of NEW CHARACTERS will be ENABLED.
  • While in Lite-Mode, the following restrictions apply:
    • Character progression and travel will be limited to base narratives only (Warrior, Mage, Ranger, Crafter).
    • All Advanced Skill Trainers and Advanced Narrative Quest Givers will be DISABLED.
    • Players may transfer any pre-existing character or new character to production servers.
      • Note: Characters must complete their base narrative in order to be eligible for transfer.
      • For combat-based narratives: the slaying of the Orc Champion spawn is not required during this time.

Season 2 Start

  • All characters that have not transferred by the start of Season 2 will be deleted

Vendor Search Maintenance

We will be performing maintenance on Vendor Search on July 23rd, 2025 at 10 ET.

We expect this downtime to last approximately 1 hour.

Update 7/23/2025 @ 11 AM ET – Maintenance is now complete.

UO Herald - Hotfix

Publish 120 Hotfixes

Greetings,

With each shard’s regularly scheduled maintenance beginning July 8, 2025 the following hotfixes will be deployed to Publish 120:

  • Resolved an issue that could cause the Mistas entry barriers to not properly clear after a reset.
  • Resolved an issue that could cause players to become permanently frozen while using siege catapults.
  • All Dreadguard Skull items can now be turned with an interior decorator tool.
  • The recipe scrolls purchased from the event vendor should now properly identify as shard bound.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing an excessive amount of Riftborne artifacts to sometimes drop from the phase 2 mini-bosses.
  • Healers that spawn in the event area should no longer spawn as paragons and attack players.
  • The Clydesdale “Last Stand” ability will no longer trigger from a PvP attack.
  • The Mawling adds from the Riftborn Monstrosity will now spawn with fewer hit points and resists, and spawn less often.

Publish 120 Worldwide

Greetings,

We are pleased to announce that Publish 120 has been deployed World Wide beginning with North American shards on June 17th, 2025.  All shards will be published following their normally scheduled maintenance.  This includes a mandatory client patch, so please patch up your game client before accessing the server.
