Resources:

Most resources are crafted (see table below) however saltpeter is bought from the alchemists at Sea Market, the docks at Moonglow or Britain, or mined from niter deposits in dungeons or from boats. Only miners with high luck can find these deposits which can occur in 5 different sizes, miners harvesting in Felucca will benefit from a 1000 point luck bonus. Once found the miner must mine the deposit until it is consumed. The niter will decay if not mined when found.

Each cannon has its own storage area, the magazine, which must contain powder charges, fuse cords and either cannon balls or grapeshot. (only one missile type can be placed in a magazine)

Double-click the cannon to open the Cannon Control Menu.

Click on the Prep button to begin loading, the cannon will automatically move through each step in the process so long as resources are present in the magazine and the cannoneer is on the ship (if you leave the ship the process will pause).

The loaded cannons can be fired individually from the menu or in a broadside using the command "fire port broadside" or "fire starboard broadside"
NOTE: After each shot your cannon will take damage. Repair with ingots at the end of the battle, or when pausing for ship repairs. To do this access the context menu of the cannon by single clicking it. You may also dismantle cannons and unload through this menu. A ‘slightly damaged’ carronade will require approximately 36 ingots to repair. |
