<li>Treasure Maps can be obtained as loot from various creatures throughout Britannia</li>
<li>Scribes are able to create an “Decryption Cipher” which can be used to decode maps and obtain rough co-ordinates without the need for additional skills.</li>
<li>Treasure Chests can be unlocked via a variety of craftable tools,
<ul>
<li>Skeleton Keys from Blacksmiths (number of charges raises with rarer ore types)</li>
<li>Improvised Lockpicks from Alchemists</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Treasure Maps can be untrapped via a variety of craftable tools,
<ul>
<li>Pressure Wedge from Carpenters (number of charges raises with rarer wood types)</li>
<li>Leather Shim from Tailors</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Map Carrying Monsters</h3>
In the main map levels dropped by monsters will correspond to those listed for <a href="https://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/treasure-maps/">main shards</a>. Some differences to note:
<ul>
<li>Daemon at Skara Brae Hedge Maze have no magery, and therefore drop supply maps, one level lower than their magical counterparts at Daemon Temple and in Hythloth.</li>
<li>The <a href="https://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/new-legacy-an-overview/new-legacy-boss-fights/">Legendary Foes</a> drop Trove maps</li>
</ul>
<h3>The Guardians</h3>
Guardians on maps will be the same as for a Felucca map on main shards.
<ul>
<li>Cold Drakes and Dragon Wolves can be tamed by characters who have read the Dragon Bestiary</li>
<li>Greater Dragons and Frost Dragons cannot be tamed.</li>
</ul>
<h3>The Treasure</h3>
As with Main Shard maps, the content will reflect the map type, eg a ranger's map will most likely contain items such as bows.
<ul>
<li>Quantity of items increases with chest levels.</li>
<li>Maximum property intensity on weapons and armor is determined by the congiarium level</li>
<li>A treasure bag with gold and gems, quantities varying with chest quality and level</li>
<li>A Treasure map one level lower.</li>
<li>Mage map, supply level, 40 of each reg</li>
<li>Cache Map, octopus necklace</li>
