Crafting & Resources

  • How do I collect resources?
    • Using resource collection tools such as a pickaxe to harvest metal or an axe to harvest wood will collect resources and store them in your resource pack.  You may access your resource pack by using the character context menu.  Resources are bound to each character.  Areas devoid of resources will show empty tree stumps or loose ore.
  • Do I need resources to cast spells or craft magical items?
    • Reagents can be collected in the world, found as loot, or purchased from NPC vendors.  Casting spells utilizes reagents held in the backpack.  A special reagent belt will keep reagents getting looted while the belt is equipped.  To convert reagents for crafting use a reagent purifier to transfer reagents to the resource pack.
  • How does crafting success and failure work?
    • Crafters either can or cannot craft an item based on requisite skill.  Higher skill will reduce crafting times.

Combat

  • How do special moves work?
    • The initial toggle to activate a special move will consume stamina based on the special move.  Mana will be consumed when the special move is performed.

Loot & Equipment

  • How do loot properties work?
    • Loot properties are shown by prefix and suffix to show an item’s power at a glance.  Using the item identification skill will give expanded stat information on a piece of equipment.  All players have inherent Grandmaster Item ID.
  • How many armor pieces can I wear?
    • Armor sets are comprised of the head slot, arm slot, glove slot, chest slot, and leg slot.  There is no neck armor.  Jewelry and other accessories can be equipped in the neck slot.
  • What’s up with finding low durability artifacts?
    • Random magical items that drop off monsters will be in a weakened, fragmented state.  While usable in this state, they will quickly wear out.  A grandmaster crafter in the appropriate skill can restore these artifacts to their full potential.

PvP & Guilds

  • Can I PvP?
    • Player vs. Player combat is restricted to guilds that have opted in to the Vice vs. Virtue system at the time of guild creation.  After a guild is created, the guild cannot join Vice vs. Virtue.  Guilds can still participate in guild wars for open world PvP.

Housing

  • Production housing and New Legacy housing are separate and owning a house on either will not impact ownership on either shard
  • Housing is earned via participation in City sponsored quest objectives
  • Individual players can own small houses, while guilds can own larger houses
  • Housing is limited to 1 house per account
