The skill Resisting Spells, sometimes referred to as Magic Resist, gives you some basic resistances (physical, fire, cold, poison, energy), even when you are not wearing any armor at all. The formula to calculate your basic resistances is (Resist skill – 40) / 3 * 2 rounded down to the nearest whole number. Rune Books are a way to store multiple marked locations and are a boon to both individual characters and player created rune libraries. Unlike individual runes, runebooks are ‘blessed’ and therefore can not be lost or stolen from your backpack . The books are crafted by player scribes and can be bought, either empty or containing runes selected and marked by the seller, from player vendors. Hiding is an essential skill for a thief or ninja as a preliminary to stealthing from, or through danger areas. The act of hiding will make you invisible to other players, but not unfindable.
