Transmogrification potions are purchased from Ultima Store at a cost of 700 sovereigns and are used to transfer properties from one item to another fitting the same equipment slot, but of a different style. Please note, these potions are not available on Siege Perilous or Mugen shards.
At current time such potions exist for:
- Head Slot
- Robe Slot
- Shield Slot
The potion requires both source and destination objects share certain properties.
- If the source object is medable, the destination object must also be medable, either through the material used or by application of the ‘mage armor’* property.
- If the source object is not medable, then the destination object must be not medable, if ‘mage armor’* property exists it must be removed.
- The destination object must be of a craftable type, enabling the object to be repaired. Item types which cannot be crafted cannot be repaired.
*this property can be removed from an item by an npc mage guildmaster for a fee of 250,000gp, or added subject to the armor not having more than four properties or not being an artifact.
The destination item must have the base properties of the item type and no other magical properties.
Use the “Set Source Object” arrow to set the object you want to transfer the properties FROM. Use the “Set Destination Object” arrow to set the object you wish to transfer the properties TO. The destination object will retain its hue after transfer. If the source object has a unique name then it will be transferred to the destination object. Blessed status is retained. The process is final and cannot be undone. The resulting item cannot be imbued, reforged, or enhanced. Refinements can not be applied to transmogrified items.
A number of special items have been added to the game specifically designed to be a transmogrification target, and therefore not affected by the repair restrictions as listed above:
- Lantern of Protection (Treasures of Demonic Forces)
- Hildebrandt Shield (25 year Veteran Reward)
- Ruckus Rum (The Black Market Merchant)
- Wand of Warding (Treasures of Demonic Forces).
- Feudal kabuto (Treasures of the Feudal Lords)
Please note the tabard of virtue is NOT a transmogrification target, it can only be infused with the properties of Hawkwind’s robe through the process detailed in the page ‘Jolly Roger, (Shrine Battles)‘
