The Divergent Path

The divergent path is designed for players who prefer to forge their own path rather than to follow a narrative. After arriving in Ocllo, and speaking to the bard, you must choose your path. To follow the divergent path select ‘head to the front lines’

By selecting this option you will forgo the story narratives and quests and be sent to the frontlines of battle.

You will be given the choice of a baseline character type and you will acquire a minimal amount of skill, stats, and equipment appropriate for your character choice.

Crafting skills cannot be acquired this way. Crafter must follow the Narrative path.

These baseline skills will be unlocked on your character and you will be able to increase them through the traditional method of fighting monsters. You will not participate in the primary story narratives and you will not be required to gain skills through questing.

You will be unable to unlock additional skills through Advanced Skill Trainers in order to customize your template.

Housing will be locked until you reach 600 total skills on your character and defeat the Orc Champion, at which time you will need to purchase the rights to place a house withing the purview of your chosen town.

Follow the coast line down the eastern path to the docks and speak to the ferryman

The ship you board pulls up to an island. Looking onto the island you see a massive enemy army in the distance.

You are eager to join the fight but first you must equip yourself. There is a quartermaster nearby that should be able to provide you with combat provisions.

Speak with the Quartermaster and select your armaments.

The quartermaster mentions the possibility of customizing skills with Advanced Skill Trainers. Be aware that this option is not available until the character has achieved a total of 600 skill points and has defeated the Orc Champion.

The character used to create this page chose fencing.

The quartermaster provided the character with equipment suitable for fencing, including a 1 hand (dagger) and a 2 hand (spear) fencing weapon, a shield (wooden), a set of armor (studded), some consumables (bandages) and a basic understanding of these skills:

  • Fencing (50.0)
  • Tactics (30)
  • Healing (50)
  • Anatomy (30)
  • Parrying (30)

Stats were set to:

  • Strength 125
  • Dexterity 90
  • Intelligence 10

On confirming the choice to proceed as a Fencing Warrior the character was put ashore.

Join the frontlines and defeat the enemy forces!

Your forces will retreat in 30 minutes, at which point you will be removed from the battlefield.

If you die, you will be removed from the battlefield.

If you wish to retreat from the battle early, board the ship to the far west.

This ship put the character ashore on Trinsic Dock to continue training. Note, you must battle monsters to gain skills, you can not gain skills through fighting animals.
