<h1>The Prophetic Manuscripts</h1>
The story that unfolds in these documents reveals a clue to the code word which opens the portal in Doom. What is found on the other side of the portal? The answer is revealed below.

<h3>The Bridge of Two Ships</h3>
I was a boy of nine when I had my first vision. As I slept, I dreamt of darkness, studded with brilliant gems reflecting a wonderous light. A thousand swirls of shimmering dust appeared, dancing across the field before me. I reached for them, and suddenly the dust came together and there was a great flash, and then for a moment, nothing. I became aware of a whispering voice as a form slowly resolved in front of me - it was a man whose appearance was at once imperceptible and unforgettable, wonderful and ordinary, inspiring and terrifying. Gradually, I became able to understand the whispering, which came to me as though it were an echo from somewhere else. It was the being in front of me, and after so many years, so many visits, I still remember everything he said:
"Owain. Long has your family had a gift of sight, and long so it shall be. I come to your from the past to show you the future, and from the future shall I come with memories of the past. I will be your Guide, once you are ready to see."
When I awoke I was frightened - too frightened to even speak of it. As one year turned into the next, however, I gradually learned to forget the dream. Some years later, when I was still a young man, I fell terribly ill. The healers were unable to explain this malady, and as a result, I lost the use of my eyes. I knew fear once again. It was then that I was visited in my dreams for the second time:
"It is time Owain. There is much work to be done, now that you are ready to see."
I have been shown many things in my dreams - things that once were, and those that have yet to be. Here, at the end of my life, at the beginning of a Golden Age in the realm, I shall recount in secret the most important events that I have received glimpses of. While they may need to remain secret for some time, the day will come when the realm will need to know what I have seen.

<h3>The Shepherd's Bane</h3>
I should say that I have been exceptionally lucky in my life. By the time of the third visit from my Guide, I had wed and even had two children - a son and a daughter.
The regret of nevery having been able to see their faces pales in comparison to the joy they have brought to me. It is to them I leave this final account, with instructions to hide it well.
On his third arrival, I spoke to my Guide for the first time - I asked his name. He responded only with cryptic remarks, saying he had and will be called many things. When I asked why he was helping me to see the things I had seen he said that he is only concerned with keeping "order" and that one day my words would help him do so. It was then that he showed me something which, hundreds of years from now, would surprise all who lived - the return of the Noble King.
Upon his return to the Kingdom he had created, the Noble King will be surprised to find the Healer, a dear friend but also an ideological rival, alive and on the throne. Seeing the people happy as citizens rather than as subjects, and largely content with his old friend's rule, the King will lay to rest their old rivalry and resolve to stay for a short time before returning to the distant lands he had arrived from. It will not be long however, before the King's attention is drawn towards the Old Lands and those who elected to stay when he lead the Great Exodus. In doing so, he will be sad, as he will see naught but turmoil as the forces of the Enchantress seem poised to overtake at last the stalwart Knight.
It is then that he will make a decision that will change the course of all lands - he will call for all those who followed him once before, do so again. Charging them with the protection of the Old Lands, he will encourage them to uphold the virtuous philosophy he had ruled and lived by. In response, the Enchantress will amass an army of wickedness the likes of which the world has never seen. Thus, a war of control will turn into a war of ideology.

<h3>The Pretty Prince's Throng</h3>
It is a curious thing, to be blind and to write. My mother taught me to write when I was very young - I was well practised by the time I had lost the use of my eyes. I maintained the skill through the years of careful practice. I know one day these will be found and read - I have forseen it.
I was past midaged by the time of my Guide's final visit. It was then that he showed me what the lands I knew of as home would one day come to look like, as the clash of two opposing ideologies will cause blood to be shed in every city.
this will not be a war of control for territory, however, but rather a battle for the soul of the world taking place in a land once forsaken but now remembered.
It will not only be the forces of the Enchantress and the Noble King and his Knight who enter into the fight, however. Many will be drawn into violence, from all corners of the world. and through this conflict and strife, a forgotten secret will be re-discovered. My Guide's final words to me were:
"The greatest treasure of a long-dead king will have the power to save all lands. Look for salvation in the shadows of the Old Lands, and in the ruins in the stars."
The, turning back into a thousand swirls of dust, he disappeared, never to enter into my deams again.

<h3>Behind the Bellweather</h3>
I cannot describe in detail the being that has visited me in my dreams. Try as I might, his specific nature eludes me, and the harder I try to envision him in my mind, the less it seems I am able to do so. He did not accompany during all of the visions I have experienced, but he guided me through the most important ones - the ones I now record.
Many generations from now, the world will be fractured. The land I know will grow darker, and a powerful Enchantress will wage constant war. Wishing to provide is people an escape from death and mayhem, a Nobel King will lead his subjects to a new land, created by powerful magic and being a mirror image of teh one which they fled from. There they will be free from the turmoil that had takenn hold in their former home, if only for a short time. New conflicts will happen, evan as the old ones persist in the lands left behind. The King will depart for distant lands, and new powers will rise and fall until the kingdom will be in danger of collapse.
Without leadership, the cities will turn against one another as citizens take to the streets in protest and bandits roam the land unimpeded. Into this will arrive a Healer whose face will be revealed to be that of a demon tomany, and whose motive will be endlessly questioned. But he shall ascend the throne, and reunite the people of the realm once again, giving them more power over their lives in the process
Not all wounds can be healed, however. In the Old Lands a long struggle will enter its final stage as the factions who remained in the wake of the Great Exodus dwindle in number. The Enchantress, having seduced a powerful Mage, will have an advantage over her remaining enemy - The Knight who stayed behind to protect those unwilling to leave their homes and lives, perilous though those lives may be.
With the Enchantress gaining strength, bolstered by the warriors of her defeated enemies, she will be on the cusp of taking control of the Old Lands. Then, something unforseen shall occur.

<h3>Bully's Breakfast</h3>
The Time Lord. That is how he will be known when the events I have spoken of will transpire. In my sleep last night I had a vision of this name being spoken, and of an image of the being who has acted as my Guide for all my life.
Though he never visited me again, I continued to have visions of the future. It was in one of these that I saw the most troubling events of all, for I believe I saw things that the Time Lord would not have liked me to see.
One day, these words will be found in the darkest, most dangerous depths imaginable. On this day I shall walk upon the world once more, if in spirit only. The secret of which I have spoken will be discovered, and the path to the greatest treasure of a dead kiing will be revealed. Of this I am certain, even if I do not know what, or where it is.
Not all may be as the Time Lord showed me, however. For while I saw the salvation he spoke of, I now believe that this treasure also has the power to destroy our world, along with countless others. This may come as a surprise to any who read this, but it is one of the possibilities I have forseen. Not all things that are meant to happe, will.
Now I come to the end of it. I will not be much longer for this world, and I am at peace. I have done my part, and these pages will now lie in wait until the time is right.
Until the world is ready to see.

<em>*The man raises his head in your direction* I was wondering when you might arrive</em>
You knew I was coming?
<em>I know a great many things, and your arrival here was foretold to me long ago</em>
Who told you I was coming?
<em>You are no doubt familiar with my abilities, as your presence here suggests you've read my manuscripts... or perhaps your connection to the ethereal void is so strong you came about my location here and the secret to its entry...no matter. I know a great many things. I know of things that will, have, and are.</em>
What is this place?
<em>The more fitting question my friend is when is this place...long before the events of your world have played out across a thousand realms just like it, the one you know as Mondain was just a boy - a boy with an insatiable appetite for power and a penchant for jealousy</em>
You can see the future?!
<em>I have been told of a great and eternal war. Imagine a game of chess where victory and defeat bring about another game. This is the war that is brewing. I speak of a war of ideologies, a war fought in lands long forgotten. A war between Vice and Virtue.</em>
Mondain the Wizard?!
<em>You know him as the vile wizard responsible for binding all of Sosaria to his cruel embrace before the Stranger appeared to shatter the Gem of Immortality, freeing Sosaria and inadvertently creating the shards that have held so much power for those who wish to harness them...for better or for worse. Before that, however, he was like all...just a boy, albeit a troubled one at that. Mondain's fater, Wolfgang, became concerned for his son and insisted he take a year at the local abbey to assuage his son's afflictions.</em>
<em>Wolfgang promised his son a magical ruby gem capable of harnessing the power of the Sun as a reward for his son's compliance. Mondain learned of this, and rather than fulfill his father's wished he chose to slay him and take the powerful gem.</em>
Vice and Virtue?
<em>Just as there is light and dark, there is Virtue and Vice. There are two sides to every coin. This is the war of ideologies that wages now and will wage forever.</em>
Murdered his father!?
<em>Yes. And that is when we find ourselves...the funeral of the great King Wolfgane, murdered at the hands of an enraged and jealous son, is to be held in this very cathedral. This is all I can tell you for now. I feel we are soon to have a long journey with one another. *The man appears to bow his head and look towards the floor*</em>
