Skara Brae is the home of Rangers and is located on an island off the eastern coast of Britannia, separated from the mainland by a channel which is traversed by means of a ferry between docks on the isle and on the mainland. The Ranger's Hall (45.47'S 40.21'W 749, 2145) along with several farms and homes is close to the mainland docks; however most of the town's traffic arrives and departs through the public moongate at the northeast corner of the isle.
In Felucca the city is one of the cities contested by <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/combat/virtue-versus-vice/">Vice versus Virtue</a>. The <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/npc-commercial-transactions/the-virtues/">virtue</a> associated with the city is Spirituality, the opposing vice is Hythloth.
In Trammel the city is one of nine having an elected governor chosen from and by the players under the <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/britannia-loyalty-and-councils/">Britannia Loyalty and Councils</a> system.
The same reciprocal arrangement of officials applies as in some other cities. The silver trader being found close to the city's bank and the ranger's guild, the <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/city-loyalty/">guard captain</a> is inside the Town Hall and the <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/quests/trader-quests/">Minister of Trade</a> is on the dock, accompanied by the <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/quests/crafter-quests-fishing/">fish monger</a>.
Persons of note in the city are <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/quests/virtue-quests-humility-virtue-armor-cloak/">Walton the Horse Breeder (Felucca)</a>, <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/quests/virtue-quests-humility-virtue-armor-cloak/">Jason the Healer</a>, <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/quests/virtue-quests-justice/">Natalie the Lady of Skara Brae</a> and, over the ferry at the Ranger's Hall, <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/huntmasters-challenge/">The Huntmaster</a>. There are also a number of visitors to the town requiring <a href="http://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/gameplay/quests/town-escort-quests/">escort </a>to other locations.
