Bowcraft and Fletching are two aspects of a single skill used to make a variety of bows and all types of feathered ammunition. For bows that means arrows and crossbow bolts, but the fletcher also creates fukiya darts for ninjas to use with their carpenter-crafted fukiya blowguns. Kindling and the imbuing ingredient ‘Elven Fletching’ can also be made by a bowyer. Tools and Resources Everything you need can be bought from an NPC Bowyer’s shop, but that can prove costly. You will need fletching tools, those made by a GM tinker are desirable as they will have more uses than […]
There was a time when all there was to a lumberjack’s life was chopping logs for carpenters to make furniture and bowyers to make their bows and arrows. Not any more! All kinds of things can be found hiding in Britannia’s trees. The first thing to think about is your character’s attributes. Set strength as high as you can, logs are heavy. Dexterity for stamina and finally a little intelligence. A pack horse or llama is useful too, or better, a giant beetle. It matters little whether you chose an axe or a hatchet for your task; as long as […]

The ‘Makers Mark’ column indicates whether the item can be marked with the makers name when crafted exceptionally by a Grandmaster Blacksmith. The ‘Retains Color’ column indicates whether the item will retain the color of the material used to craft the item. The ‘Requires Recipe’ column […]

Blacksmithing, in basic terms, is the skill with which a player can make and repair weapons, shields and metal armor, he can also make cannons, cannonballs and metal kegs for distilling! What Skills? The easiest way is to choose the pre-made Blacksmith template when you make a new character. This gives you a useful set of skills and stats to begin with. Suggested skills are: Blacksmithy; obviously Arms Lore; gives bonuses to exceptionally made items in addition to the normal Exceptional Bonus; Mining; needed for recycling/salvaging items you don’t want, as well as mining the raw material you will craft […]

The ability to construct mechanical pets was discovered some years ago when Lord Blackthorn brought his abominable constructs to Ilshenar. Later the mage Sutek developed three further pet types and a recent discovery is the Kotl Automaton. The basic building blocks of mechanical pet construction are: a clockwork assembly and a power crystal Although crafted by characters with Tinkering skill the basic pet is not listed on the tinkering menu, Sutek’s creations and the Kotl Automaton are listed, however, under the ‘assemblies’ category. Creating them is an exhausting task, if attempting to repeat it too quickly you will be advised […]
