Bold treasure seekers rejoice as maps to untold riches can be found throughout the realm!
- Treasure Maps can be obtained as loot from various creatures throughout Britannia
- Scribes are able to create an “Decryption Cipher” which can be used to decode maps and obtain rough co-ordinates without the need for additional skills.
- Treasure Chests can be unlocked via a variety of craftable tools,
- Skeleton Keys from Blacksmiths (number of charges raises with rarer ore types)
- Improvised Lockpicks from Alchemists
- Treasure Maps can be untrapped via a variety of craftable tools,
- Pressure Wedge from Carpenters (number of charges raises with rarer wood types)
- Leather Shim from Tailors
Map Carrying Monsters
In the main map levels dropped by monsters will correspond to those listed for main shards. Some differences to note:
- Daemon at Skara Brae Hedge Maze have no magery, and therefore drop supply maps, one level lower than their magical counterparts at Daemon Temple and in Hythloth.
- The Legendary Foes drop Trove maps
The Guardians
Guardians on maps will be the same as for a Felucca map on main shards.
- Cold Drakes and Dragon Wolves can be tamed by characters who have read the Dragon Bestiary
- Greater Dragons and Frost Dragons cannot be tamed.
The Treasure
As with Main Shard maps, the content will reflect the map type, eg a ranger’s map will most likely contain items such as bows.
- Quantity of items increases with chest levels.
- Maximum property intensity on weapons and armor is determined by the congiarium level
- A treasure bag with gold and gems, quantities varying with chest quality and level
- A Treasure map one level lower.
- Mage map, supply level, 40 of each reg
- Cache Map, octopus necklace
